Born in Mersin in 1992, Mustafa Aslan completed his primary and secondary education there. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 2016, he briefly worked in the private sector. In 2017, he began a master’s programme in Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. That year, he received a Ministry of National Education postgraduate scholarship and completed language studies at Marmara University and then the University of Alabama.
Between 2019 and 2022, he completed a master’s degree in Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at the University of Alabama’s business school. Specialising in econometrics, he studied long-term forecasts of US energy prices and the global and local factors affecting electricity consumption.
In 2022, he began working as an Assistant Energy and Natural Resources Expert in the Department of Electricity Supply Security, Statistics and Markets at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. He also serves actively on the board of the Association of Energy and Natural Resources Experts.
In 2023, he joined the Power MBA programme jointly developed by Sabancı University and Enerjisa, graduating with distinction in 2024. He also continues to serve as a founding board member of the Association of Experts Educated Abroad.
