Born in Trabzon in 1989, Emre Akaydın completed his primary and secondary education there. He graduated in Landscape Architecture from Atatürk University in 2011. Until June 2016, he worked in the private sector as a landscape architect and landscape project manager at 3K Construction, Forum Trabzon, Forum Istanbul and Marmara Forum shopping centres. Continuing his career through the YLSY programme, he graduated from Bangor University in the UK in November 2018 with a dissertation on ecological restoration.

After returning to Türkiye, he joined the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion in December 2018. He continued his academic research and received his PhD in Landscape Architecture from Ankara University in 2025, studying the effects of organic matter on soil and vegetation. He actively contributes to national and international initiatives on behalf of Türkiye and has a good command of English.
